Business internet is slow because the speed is limited.
This article explains how to configure Spectrum internet on a new Mac.
Open System Preferences 2.
Click on the gear icon on the left hand side of the screen and select Network.
Scroll down to the Internet icon and select Turn on Slow Speed.
Scroll to the next item, and click the “Install” button.
When finished, click “OK” to save your changes.
When the install is complete, click the gear on the right hand side and select Add.
Select the “Spectrum” option from the dropdown menu.
Under the “Internet” dropdown, click on the “Software” tab.
Under “Internet Speed” and “Speed” type in “Slow”.
The speed should be the same as before, and the speed should drop to 1Mbps.
Now that Spectrum is installed, you should see slow internet on your Mac.
To test whether Spectrum speed is slow, open up System Preferences, and scroll down to “Internet”.
You should see the speed of 1Mbps on your desktop computer.
If you see 1Mbps, you may want to restart your computer to see if it’s fixed.
